Animals (Control of Importation), 1952 (No. 36 of 1952)

Regulation  8(1) All animals imported into the Gold Coast shall be subjected to examination by a veterinary inspector at the time of importation and shall be detained at a place appointed by him for that purpose. Reg 8(2) Any person who moves an animal from the place of detention before the importer holds a certificate signed by a veterinary inspector certifying that the animal is free from disease, shall be guilty of an offence. Reg 8(3) A certificate under paragraph (2) of this regulation shall be in the form set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations or as near thereto as circumstances permit.
