Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act, 2016 Act 919
Section 30: (1) Production of petroleum shall not commence without the written approval of the Commission. (2) The Commission shall, before granting approval for the commencement of petroleum production, consider whether the contractor has developed the field in accordance with the plan of development and operation and with any conditions specified in the approved plan of development and operation. (3) This section applies to the Corporation where it undertakes petroleum activities under section 11 (1).
