Minerals And Mining Act, 2006 (ACT 703) As amended
Section 31: (1) Subject to this Act, the Minister may, on an application made by a qualified person and on the recommendation of the Commission, grant a reconnaissance licence in respect of all or a part of the area applied for and in respect of all or any of the minerals specified in the application.
(2) A reconnaissance licence may be granted for an initial period not more than twelve months.
(3) The area of land in respect of which a reconnaissance licence may be: granted shall be a block or any number not more than five thousand contiguous blocks each having a side in common with at least one other block the subject of the application.
