Currency Act, 1964 (Act 242)

Section 27: A person who, without lawful authority or excuse,
(a) imports into the Republic a coin or note knowing it to be counterfeit or false, or
(b) exports from the Republic or puts on board an aircraft, a ship, a vehicle or any other conveyance for the purposes of being exported, a coin or note knowing it to be counterfeit or false, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand penalty units or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding ten years or to both the fine and the imprisonment.
