Regulation 304
(1) The manager of a mine shall ensure that except in the case of an authorised person who travels down an elevator for the purpose of examination or repair of the elevator, an elevator is not used for the transport of persons without the permission in writing of the Chief Inspector of Mines.
(2) The Chief Inspector of Mines may in granting permission under sub-regulation (1), impose restrictions and conditions that the Chief Inspector considers appropriate.
