Textile Designs (Registration) ACT, 1973 (NRCD 213)
Section 8: The registration of a textile design under this Decree shall give to the registered proprietor of such design, the copyright therein, that is to say, the exclusive right in Ghana to make or import for sale or for use for the purposes of any trade or business, or to sell, hire or offer for sale or hire, any textile article in respect to which the textile design is registered:
Provided that the registration of a textile design which includes any indigenous traditional motifs as described in subsection (2)(d) of section 2 of this Decree shall not give rise to the exclusive use of those motifs.
