Rent Control Act, 1986, (PNDCL 138)
Section 4: (1) The landlord of a residential accommodation referred to in section 1 shall register with the Rent and Housing Committee each lease or tenancy agreement in respect of the accommodation within fourteen days of entering into the lease or tenancy agreement. (2) A landlord shall not demand or receive from the tenant of a residential accommodation the rent in respect of the accommodation without complying with subsection (1).
