Introduction
To promote sustainable development in Ghana, the National Environmental Policy (NEP) was put in place in 1991. The policy seeks to ensure reconciliation between economic development and natural resource conservation. The NEP requires the use of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to ensure a sound management of resources and the environment.
