West African Gas Pipeline Regulations, 2005 (L.I. 1814).
2. PURPOSE OF REGULATIONS 2.1 These Regulations are adopted following agreement in accordance with the International Project Agreement by the Republic of Ghana and the Company on the content of these Regulations, but without prejudice to the authority of the Minister to amend these Regulations in accordance with the powers set out in the West African Gas Pipeline Act. 2.2 The purpose of these Regulations is to provide a consistent and enforceable code governing the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Pipeline System which will harmonise the regulation of those matters in each of the States. 2.3 In addition to these Regulations the Operator is required to comply with the substantive laws of the Republic of Ghana as modified by the West African Gas Pipeline Act.
