Reinsurance Guidelines 2017
Having due regard to market retention capacity no overseas reinsurance placement should be made in respect of the following class s of Insurance:
i) Motor ii) Workmen's Compensation iii) General Accident iv) Personal Accident
v) Goods-ln —Transit vi) Life Insurance vii) Fidelity Guarantee viii) Professional Indemnity
Where there is not enough local capacity for any of the above, the NIC's approval must be sought before recourse to overseas insurance. The approval process must not be more than two working days once all documentations are provided.
