Petroleum (Local Content And Local Participation) Regulations, 2013 (L.I. 2204)
Regulation 5
5. (1) The Local Content Committee established by the Commission under subsection (2) of
section 8 of the Act shall oversee the implementation of these Regulations.
(2) The Committee shall in implementing the provisions of these Regulations, ensure
measurable and continuous growth in local content in all petroleum activities.
(3) Without limiting subregulations (1) and (2), the Committee shall
(a) oversee, coordinate, and manage the development of local content;
(b) prepare guidelines, to include targets and formats for local content plans and
reporting;
(c) make appropriate recommendations to the Commission for the smooth
implementation of these Regulations;
(d) set minimum standard requirements for local content in local content plans where
applicable;
(e) undertake public education;
(Undertake local content monitoring and audit; and
(g) Perform any other functions conferred on the Committee
by the Commission in accordance with the provisions of
applicable laws.
(4) The Committee shall submit quarterly reports of its activities to the Commission
